Test Dummies Spotted on Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Studios
Test dummies have been spotted on the ride vehicles of the upcoming Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift attraction at Universal Studios. Our reporter noticed these dummies strapped into the coaster trains, which are designed to resemble famous vehicles from the Fast & Furious franchise. Each train will feature four cars, with Dom's iconic Dodge Charger leading the way.
The vehicles have a unique zebra print pattern, which we theorize is a black-and-white camouflage wrap. This design might have evolved since our previous glimpse of an orange-colored car inside the loading area.
While the trains were stationary, the presence of dummies suggests that safety testing is underway. The coaster track, completed in the spring, is set to provide an immersive experience, utilizing the park's natural environment to create a dynamic and thrilling journey.
The track's most daring maneuver involves curving underneath and over the glass-roofed escalators, bringing guests close to the action. With a length of 4,100 feet, the coaster is designed with sound reduction technology for an unforgettable experience.
As construction progresses, crews are enhancing the theming around the coaster. Recent work has focused on structural pylons and safety netting, adding to the overall immersive experience.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is set to open next year, marking the first high-speed outdoor roller coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood. It will also be one of the park's fastest coasters, reaching speeds of 72MPH.
